Riders on the Storm by The Doors

(1,563 plays)

The fact that Ray Manzarek has passed has actually really saddened me. Despite it being innevitable, I hate the idea that all these musicians I appreciate and admire are likely to pass in my lifetime. I wish George Harrison and John Lennon and Jim Morrison and so many others were still alive, and the thought of Paul McCartney or Bob Dylan or David Bowie passing is just too awful to think about, so I just pretend it won’t happen. I know it seems silly because I’ve never met them but the music they’ve created has been so memorable and groundbreaking I just wish I’d listened to The Doors sooner.
